File size reduction
Problem: The required image cannot be emailed or submitted to the e-service system because it is too large. What can you do to solve this problem?
In a few words
Before uploading images, you should make sure they are the correct size for the container in which they will be placed.
The best way to reduce the size of an image is to lower its dimensions. You can usually go to your image editing software and select Resize Image from the menu bar. The dimension of a photo refers to its width and height, which together determine the overall size and shape of the picture.
This problem can be solved by using one of the programs that has the corresponding function.
You can edit images in Photoshop.
If you do not have Photoshop, you can use Paint on a Windows platform.
Paint is found in All Programs > Accessories.
For example, the well-known program Paint.

Instructions for reducing image file size.
| 1. | We fix the current size of the required file. For example.: (see images 1 and 2 ) |
| 2. | We call the program PAINT. |
| 3. | We choose the File/Open mode – we find the file and open it. |
| 4. | We select the RESIZE mode: (see image 3) |
| 5. | In one of the boxes (any) instead of the percentage number 100, we write a smaller number, for example 50. We press OK. (see image 4) |
| 6. | We save the image on the computer with a new name. |
| 7. | We compare the size of the new file with the size of the old file: (see images 5 and 6) |
| 8. | If the new size meets the relevant requirements, then we use it for the intended purpose, and the problem is solved. |
| 9. | If the size is still not small enough, then we repeat the reduction procedure with this new file, opening it in the PAINT program, and applying the reduction again. |
